Data privacy tops AI concerns amongst healthcare professionals in 7MM
This reflects growing apprehensions about safeguarding patient information, according to an analyst.
Data privacy remains a top challenge for one-third (33%) of healthcare professionals across the seven major markets (7MM) when integrating AI into clinical practice, according to a GlobalData survey.
Sachin Gharat, Associate Project Manager, Pharma at GlobalData, stated that this reflects growing apprehensions about safeguarding patient information.
Workflow integration emerged as another critical factor, with 32% noting the importance of aligning AI tools with existing clinical practices to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.
“Effective integration requires AI tools to be user-friendly, interoperable with electronic health records (EHRs), and adaptable to diverse clinical settings,” Gharat said.
Physician and patient acceptance serve as additional considerations, whilst regulatory compliance (19%) and legal liability (22%) were seen as comparatively lesser concerns.
