What lies ahead for Australia’s Frankston Hospital redevelopment?

The new clinical services tower's external facade is now complete.

The Australian government has announced the completion of the external facade of the new clinical services tower at the $705m (A$1.1b) Frankston Hospital redevelopment.

Meanwhile, construction is underway on a new paediatric zone and mental health, alcohol and other drugs hub. Additionally, the hospital will incorporate features like solar panels and a helipad.

The redevelopment will accommodate 130 more beds, expanded children's services, 15 new operating theatres, and dedicated spaces for mental health, oncology, and women's health services.

It is slated for completion by late 2025.
