
New healthcare training hub opens in Castlemaine, Australia
It can accommodate up to 60 students.
A new $2.6m (A$4m) healthcare learning hub has opened in Castlemaine, Victoria, according to the Australian government.
The facility is a partnership between Bendigo TAFE and Dhelkaya Health, with a wing of Dhelkaya Health’s training hospital renovated to house learning spaces for nursing, aged care, and home care.
The hub can accommodate up to 60 students at a time.
It will provide training with specialist equipment designed to replicate healthcare environments.
The facility will also be used by Dhelkaya Health for staff development, including its graduate nurse programme, and by Monash University for its General Practitioner programme.
