Fairfield Hospital redevelopment moves forward with master planning

The master plan will outline the site’s vision and designate areas for potential expansion.

The Australian government has announced that the $355.7m (A$550m) Fairfield Hospital redevelopment has progressed with master planning now underway.

The master plan will outline the vision for the site, including the location of key components of the redevelopment, and designate areas for potential expansion.

Moreover, South Western Sydney Local Health District has started reviewing the hospital's models of care, service delivery, and non-clinical support requirements.

Staff consultations are also underway, with community engagement planned to begin in early 2025.

The $355.7m (A$550m) scope of the redevelopment will be finalised during the planning and design phase, with construction timelines to be confirmed once a builder is appointed.
