National Hospital honoured at Healthcare Asia Awards 2025
The medical institution earned recognition for its National Hospital Apps which have brought digital revolution in healthcare.
National Hospital emerged as the recipient of the ICT Initiative of the Year - Indonesia accolade at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2025. The award was given to the medical institution for making healthcare easier for everyone through its National Hospital Apps.
Technology has become a big part of everyone’s daily lives, hence it is also changing how people take care of their health. Amongst the changes on the rise are the National Hospital Apps which are easy-to-use digital tools that help patients connect with doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare services.
These apps are usually developed by governments or health organisations to make sure all hospitals in a country can work together smoothly. Patients can now use their smartphones to manage many aspects of their healthcare in one place.
With this technology, patients can schedule, change, or cancel doctor visits quickly without standing in long lines. They can also get lab and radiology results directly on the app—a secure, fast, and paperless approach.
Teleconsultations are available as well through video or audio, whilst helpful information on staying healthy, preventing illness, and finding nearby health facilities are also accessible.
The apps also have the feature where patients can see their genetic test results to help doctors give more personalised treatment; child vaccination records to know which vaccines are further needed; queue tracking to see position in the waiting line; and online billing to check and pay medical bills.
Furthermore, these apps offer patients convenience and help everyone, including those in rural areas, get the same quality care. It reduces the need to travel and wait at clinics or hospitals, whilst also automating routine tasks so staff can focus more on care.
National Hospital Apps are changing the way healthcare works by making care easier, faster, and more connected. As technology keeps improving, these apps will become even smarter and more helpful in keeping people healthy.
