RSSDI and Koita Foundation launch centre for digital diabetology in India

Digital programmes for diabetes will be executed by the centre's healthcare technology team .

The Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and the Koita Foundation have partnered to set up a new centre focused on digital diabetology.

The RSSDI–Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology will establish a healthcare technology team focused on defining and executing national digital programmes in diabetes management and research.

In addition, the centre aims to utilise digital technology in improving diabetes treatment workflows and patient experience, whilst improving healthcare access to non-urban or rural areas.

“RSSDI–KCDD initiatives are closely tied with the government of India's focus on driving Digital Health adoption, including the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.” Rizwan Koita, co-founder and director of Koita Foundation, said.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the partners on 13 April at the RSSDI Annual Research Retreat in Jaipur, India.
