India’s X-ray systems market to increase by 3% in CAGR from 2023 to 2033

GlobalData said it stemmed from the prevalence of chronic diseases.

The X-ray systems market in India is seen to grow at a 3% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2023 to 2033, GlobalData said.

Tuberculosis and lifestyle-related ailments in India led to a higher demand for diagnostic equipment.

The GlobalData report showed that the Indian X-ray systems market represents about 15% of the Asia-Pacific market in 2023.

Nandini Nagpal, a Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData, said X-ray systems are essential in the medical field but have their limitations, including radiation exposure, image resolution, and portability issues.

For example, Remedi Co Ltd, a South Korean radiology firm, is in discussions with Indian firm Invencer Health Pvt. Ltd to introduce REMEX KA-6, a handheld X-ray system, in India.

This system is expected to provide high-quality X-ray images and improved clinical coverage while minimizing radiation exposure due to its patented adjustable active area collimator.
