Australia invests $48.1m in Royal Flying Doctor Service
It will expand on the RFDS’s primary care, mental health, and dental services.
The Australian Government has announced a $48.1m (A$74.8m) investment to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) over the next three years.
The funding will enable the RFDS to expand its primary care, mental health, and dental services to reach more Australians in remote areas.
Moreover, the government and RFDS have formalised their collaboration with a long-term strategic partnership agreement extending until the 2031–32 financial year.
The investment follows the $642.4m (A$1b) government commitment to the RFDS over 10 years (2024–25 to 2031–32).
