Australia increases investments by $10m in Temora Health Service redevelopment
The new service will deliver perioperative facilities for surgery and procedures.
The Australian government has announced a further investment of $10m (A$15m) in the Temora Health Service building, bringing its total redevelopment funding to $63.4m (A$95m).
The new Temora Health Service is set to deliver perioperative facilities for surgery and procedures, medical imaging, community and allied health, ambulatory clinics, and clinical and non-clinical support services.
Moreover, it will continue to provide emergency department services and modern inpatient accommodation with beds available for medical, surgical, rehabilitation, palliative care, and maternity patients.
Meanwhile, artist impressions unveiled a design for the upcoming health service building and arrival area, as well as an aerial view of the new establishment.
“The hospital’s design has a strong connection to country, with light-filled spaces, alongside direct access to outdoor areas and improved landscaping which will create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff,” Health Minister, Ryan Park, said.
The design also featured improved car parking and separate emergency and service vehicle entry.
Meanwhile, construction timeframes will be established following planning approvals and the appointment of a building contractor.
