Catch the 2017 Healthcare Asia Forum on its third leg in Singapore
It will be on April 27 at The Westin Singapore.
The Healthcare Asia Forum is on its 3rd-city road show in Singapore, and attendees can look forward to expert insights and intelligent panel sessions on policy issues and challenges faced by the healthcare sector in Singapore and on a regional level.
Dr Zubin Daruwalla is among this year's thought leaders for the Singapore leg, and he will discuss issues on financing healthcare systems. Asia’s healthcare system is struggling with rising costs and uneven quality of healthcare delivery. According to Murray AItken from IMS Institute for Healthcare Informatics, over the past years, there has been a fundamental shift in expectations for healthcare systems: that they transform from supply-driven healthcare systems to patient-centred systems organised around what patients need.
What measures are currently in place amongst healthcare players and hospitals to keep costs down while keeping a high value on patient care? What obstacles will hinder both on healthcare players and patients?
Timothy Low, CEO of Farrer Park Hospital, and Dr Jit Seng Tan, founder and director of Lotus Eldercare will also be speaking to share their insights on the sector's current situation.
There will be panel discussions on medical tourism trends on a regional level, and Singapore's place as a medical tourism spot. Singapore may be losing the medical tourism game as medical tourists shy away from its expensive hospitals and other rising costs.
Is government support enough to keep the sector alive versus neighboring governments' measures in boosting medical tourism? What measures are currently in place to help Singapore keep up? Where is Singapore situated in today’s aggressive race to get tourists to spend on medical costs?
All these and more will be fleshed out and discussed by our speakers, panellists, and attendees at the forum.
Key representatives from AcuMed Medical, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, KK Women's & Children's Hospital, National Cancer Centre, National Healthcare Group, NCS, Nucleus Dynamics, Sengkang Health, Singapore Medical Group, Sino-Singapore (Chengdu) Innovation Park Development, and The Medical Concierge Group among others will be present in the forum.
Healthcare Asia's Singapore leg will be on April 27 at The Westin Singapore from 8:30AM to 11:00AM.
