Yishun Health launches academy for PSA workforce development

The academy will offer programmes that cover customer service and clinical knowledge.

Yishun Health has launched its PSA Learning Academy, aimed at enhancing the skills and career progression of Patient Service Associates (PSAs) within the organisation.

In a speech, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Health, Janil Puthucheary, said that the academy will offer structured training programmes to prepare PSAs for their roles within the hospital.

These programmes will cover areas such as customer service, and clinical knowledge. It will also include accredited training and certification from the Institute of Technical Education and NTUC LearningHub.

A blended learning approach will be employed, combining classroom learning, e-learning and hands-on experiences, including job trials facilitated by nurse educators.
