Alexandra Hospital Campus enters next phase of redevelopment
This follows the appointment of two main contractors on 1 December.
Singapore’s Alexandra Hospital Campus will proceed to its next phase of redevelopment following the appointment of two main contractors on 1 December.
The contractors are a joint venture comprising Shimizu Corporation, Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd, and Kimly Construction Pte Ltd, as well as Rich Construction Company Pte Ltd.
Each contractor will be responsible for separate zones within the redeveloped campus. Works will be carried out in phases to allow key services to remain operational during construction.
Upon completion, the hospital will cover approximately 13.3 hectares and comprise two main towers.
The 1,300-bed inpatient tower will feature a new emergency department, inpatient wards, diagnostic and treatment facilities.
Meanwhile, the outpatient tower will accommodate outpatient clinics and services, supported by diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, and other clinical support functions.
The campus will also include a co-located nursing home, integrating acute, rehabilitative, and long-term care services on a single site.
The redeveloped facility is scheduled to open progressively from 2028.
