New family accommodation to open at Westmead’s The Children’s Hospital
The project is part of the hospital’s $428m Stage 2 Redevelopment.
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Australia, will expand onsite family accommodation with a new facility in the Paediatric Services Building, expected to open in early 2026.
The new space on Level 9 of the 14-storey building will be near cardiac and critical care inpatient units.
In addition, all inpatient units in the building will include single-patient rooms with an ensuite and a carer bed to allow parents to stay overnight.
The expansion is part of the hospital’s Stage 2 Redevelopment, which involves a total investment of $428m (A$659.1m).
