It houses an epilepsy monitoring unit with 16 single-patient rooms.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Saudi Arabia has launched a new smart neuroscience ward.

The ward features specialised electromagnetic shielding to eliminate external interference. It also includes an epilepsy monitoring unit with 16 single-patient rooms.

Additional features include intelligent analytics, telemedicine integration for real-time collaboration across KFSHRC campuses, and smart cameras with human detection, motion tracking, and day-and-night vision.

The ward accommodates patients recovering from complex neurosurgical procedures, individuals with movement disorders, and those with chronic neurological diseases requiring continuous monitoring.
