New Zealand’s Christchurch Hospital opens new ambulatory care hub
The $2.8m (NZ$4.7m) hub consolidates six outpatient services.
The refurbishment of Christchurch Hospital’s ambulatory care hub is complete, with services now beginning to transition into the new space, New Zealand Health Minister Simeon Brown announced.
The $2.8m (NZ$4.7m) hub consolidates six key outpatient services in one location. This includes the medical and oncology day units, respiratory physiology, sleep services, ECG, and neurophysiology.
The hub also houses a dedicated diagnostic centre for respiratory, EEG, and sleep studies.
It also features an oncology day unit with increased capacity and a new drop-off area.
