Whanganui Hospital opens upgraded dental unit
Key features include a dedicated area for patients receiving IV sedation.
New Zealand’s Whanganui Hospital has unveiled its upgraded on-site dental unit following a refurbishment.
The unit features an enlarged waiting room, a dedicated area for patients receiving IV sedation, and improved access for wheelchair users, said Health Minister Simeon Brown.
“Two dental rooms have also been modernised with new cabinetry and equipment,” Brown added.
The reception area and front desk have also been reconfigured to improve patient flow and safety.
