
Australia invests $14m in aged care nursing scholarships
Over 1,000 scholarships will be offered.
The Australian government is investing $14m (A$21.5m) in scholarships for aged care workers and nurses across the country.
Over 1,000 scholarships will be offered under the Aged Care Nursing Scholarships Program, with guaranteed places for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander aged care workers and nurses.
Participants can complete formal qualifications ranging from a Certificate III to a Master's level.
Training will also be available in specialised areas such as clinical leadership, palliative care, dementia care, and infection prevention and control.
The Australian College of Nurse Practitioners will administer the scholarships until June 2027.
