The buyer is a healthcare private equity firm operating in South and Southeast Asia.
VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF), a London-listed closed-end fund managed by VinaCapital, has announced the sale of its stake in Tam Tri Medical Joint Stock Company, one of Vietnam’s leading private healthcare networks.
According to a filing in the London Stock Exchange, the buyer is a healthcare private equity firm operating in South and Southeast Asia. The transaction’s financial terms were not disclosed.
“We sold our stake at a premium to one of the region's foremost healthcare investors who understand the market and its enormous potential,” Khanh Vu, Lead Portfolio Manager of VOF, said.
Vu said that the divestment will release capital for redeployment into other investment opportunities under review.
“Although the global economy continues to be uncertain, Vietnam continues to offer a range of compelling investment opportunities, particularly now that the development of the private sector is a government priority,” he added.
