Optimax Eye Specialist Centre lauded at Healthcare Asia Awards 2025

It was recognised as the Specialty Hospital of the Year (Ophthalmology) - Malaysia for being at the forefront of eye care advancement.

Optimax Eye Specialist Centre brought home the Specialty Hospital of the Year (Ophthalmology) - Malaysia category win in the prestigious Healthcare Asia Awards 2025 for consistently enhancing patients’ lives with cutting-edge technologies and expert medical care, expanding its reach and capabilities to serve a diverse clientele, both local and international.

Currently operating through  24 branches across Malaysia, the centre is well-positioned to deliver top-quality healthcare to a broader population. The extensive branch network also facilitates the company's tapping into the medical tourism industry, attracting patients from neighbouring countries.

In 2024, the company successfully launched an Ambulatory Care Centre in Cambodia, marking its first overseas expansion to reach an even wider clientele. Optimax was one of the first in Malaysia to introduce ZEISS SMILE Pro and PRESBYOND technologies, encompassing refractive surgeries and treatments for eye diseases and disorders.

The centre also aims to build long-term relationships with patients by facilitating early diagnosis. Identifying eye issues at an early age allows Optimax to prevent or manage many serious conditions effectively, ensuring better vision as children grow.

“Winning the Specialty Hospital of the Year award would serve as a testament to Optimax’s relentless pursuit of excellence in transforming lives through clearer vision. Guided by our mission of ‘New Vision, New Life,’ Optimax continues to inspire confidence, foster innovation, and uphold its position in the eye specialist industry,” the company said.

Healthcare Asia Awards honours exceptional hospitals across the region that have redefined the standards of excellence in the industry through their innovative solutions and substantial contributions to communities.
