Burjeel to power health facilities with clean energy in new partnership
The agreement involves the use of clean energy certificates.
Burjeel Holdings has partnered with the Emirates Water and Electricity Company to transition 22 of its healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to clean energy.
The agreement involves the use of clean energy certificates (CECs), issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, to verify that the electricity consumed by Burjeel’s facilities is sourced from renewable and clean energy generation.
CECs are the only recognised mechanism in Abu Dhabi for tracking clean energy usage and reducing Scope 2 emissions.
