The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Queensland, Australia has acquired a new $2.5m (A$4m) PET/CT scanner from the government.
The new scanner replaces the hospital’s 13-year-old machine and supports the diagnosis, staging, and restaging of cancer and other conditions.
Moreover, it is expected to benefit patients referred for oncology, haematology, urology, neurology, and cardiology services.
