The Australian government has announced a funding boost of $155,000 (A$245,000) to upgrade the emergency department at Tomaree Hospital in New South Wales.
The project will involve reconfiguring a non-clinical area into two acute emergency bays, allowing for better space utilisation and improved patient management.
The funding is part of the Regional Health Minor Works Programme, which is investing $7.6m (A$12m) across 61 projects to improve healthcare facilities in regional areas.
