American Hospital Dubai employs VisAR augmented reality in tumour resection

It enables real-time window levelling and 3D visualisation.

American Hospital Dubai has leveraged Novarad's VisAR Augmented Reality Navigation System in a procedure involving the resection of a solitary fibrous tumour.

Dr Parviz Dolati said the system allowed for real-time window levelling and 3D visualisation of the tumour and surrounding blood vessels.

In line with this, it enabled Dolati and the surgical team to navigate the procedure with precision and increased safety.
