US CDC updates travel warning against SG, PH
The warning has risen to 'Level Four: Very High.'
The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advised against travel to nearly 130 countries because of high coronavirus infection rates. The list included Singapore, the Philippines, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Kosovo.
The CDC advised travellers to update their vaccinations should they need to travel to said countries. If not, travellers should test as close to departure time as possible and self-quarantine for a full five days after travel.
Since mid-December, the US government has added more than 60 countries and territories to its list of places to avoid, citing the Omicron coronavirus variant.
