Unlicensed cosmetic medical practitioners face legal action in Qatar

Practitioner licences can be verified via the official register.

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health has apprehended two foreign nationals practising cosmetic medical services without the required professional licenses and is taking legal action against them.

The ministry said that the violators were identified through the monitoring and surveillance of advertisements on social media platforms.

Moreover, they have been referred to the competent authorities, who have decided to ensure their deportation from the country and to place their names on the list of individuals prohibited from entering the country.

The ministry also urged members of the public not to be deceived or lured by advertisements or practices promoted via social media without verifying their legitimacy and accreditation from the official authorities.

They further clarified that the licence status of any healthcare practitioner in the country can be verified through the “Find a Registered Healthcare Practitioner” service.
