Qatar closes dental unit, suspends licenses over regulatory violations

The actions relate to violations of the law on the practice of professions.

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health has temporarily closed a dental unit at a private health centre and suspended the licences of several health practitioners for working outside their authorised scope.

The actions relate to violations of Law No. (2) of 1983 regarding the practice of the professions of medicine, dentistry, and surgery, and the regulations and policies governing the scopes of professional licenses.

Legal actions are underway against both the facility and the practitioners involved.
