South Korea and Saudi Arabia announced partnership to boost medical personnel training

Both countries agreed on the need to train specialised medical personnel.

South Korea’s Health and Welfare minister, Cho KyooHong, and Yousef Bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, Saudi Arabia’s H.E Minister of Education, have discussed ways to strengthen healthcare cooperation, including expanding the training of medical personnel.

The two ministers agreed on the need to train specialised medical personnel and advance bilateral policy cooperation, such as the provision of the agreement on training Saudi medical personnel.

Meanwhile, Cho shared recent issues of interest in the healthcare sector, such as the sending of Saudi government-funded patients and the elevation of Korean medical licenses to a higher group.

In response, Al-Benyan welcomed the proposal to enhance capacity building.

The Education minister also expressed his commitment to continuing the medical cooperation between both countries.
