SingHealth appoints new Group CEO
The neurosurgeon has served the healthcare company for almost two decades.
SingHealth has named neurosurgeon Professor Ng Wai Hoe as the next Group CEO, succeeding Professor Ivy Ng in the role.
Before his appointment, Ng has been with SingHealth for nearly two decades.
As a newly qualified neurosurgeon, he entered the National Neuroscience Institute as an associate consultant in 2004, becoming medical director in 2015 for almost six years.
In 2020, Ng was appointed as CEO of Changi General Hospital at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside, he became SingHealth’s Deputy Group CEO under Strategy & Planning, wherein he took charge of the future direction of the healthcare institution for five to ten years.

“Healthcare is essentially about our people. Our work is to heal and comfort; the role of a healthcare leader therefore is to care for our people so they can do their best to care for our patients and the community,” Ng said about his appointment SingHealth as Group CEO.
