Saudi, Iraq sign MoU to develop sustainable healthcare partnerships

The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation.

Saudi Arabia’s Health Minister, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, and Iraqi Health Minister, Saleh AlHasnawi, have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop sustainable healthcare partnerships.

The meeting, attended by Iraqi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Safia Taleb AlSuhail, focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in healthcare.

Key discussion points included public health, preventive medicine, digital health, virtual care, clinical services, and investment opportunities in the sector.

Meanwhile, both sides addressed strategies to strengthen health system resilience and improve epidemic preparedness.
