Saudi Arabia, Sweden discuss digital health, advanced therapies

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel concluded an official visit to Sweden to strengthen cooperation in health innovation and investment.
AlJalajel met Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard and Health Minister Acko Ankarberg Johansson to discuss global health collaboration and digital and virtual care.
Additional key focus areas include sustainable care models, preventive health, and the use of advanced technologies in healthcare.
In line with this, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Karolinska Institutet to promote research collaboration and expertise exchange.
Discussions also took place with AstraZeneca and Elekta on partnerships in advanced therapies, precision medicine, and radiological technologies.
