Perennial to launch Shanghai’s first wholly foreign-owned tertiary hospital

The project is expected to carry a total investment cost of $69.4m (RMB500m).

Perennial Holdings Private Limited has formed a strategic partnership with Lujiazui Administrative Bureau of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Shanghai Lujiazui (Group) Co., Ltd. to build Shanghai’s first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital.

Perennial General Hospital Shanghai is expected to carry a total investment cost of $69.4m (RMB 500m) with a planned capacity of 500 beds.

Moreover, it will be developed through a newly incorporated foreign medical investment company in the Lujiazui District.

The hospital will offer general medical services, such as internal medicine, surgery, and health screening.

It will also feature specialised centres of excellence focused on orthopaedics, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and otolaryngology.
