Medical spa market eyes growth driven by customer loyalty
About 70% of customers have expressed interest in medical spa memberships.
The medical spa market is set for continuous growth with the number of facilities and penetration rate expected to rise despite a decline in consumer spending.
A report by L.E.K revealed that a key aspect of the market is strong customer loyalty, with seven in 10 customers expressing interest in memberships, reflecting a boost in spending per visit and visit frequency.
In line with this, members tend to spend around 44% more than non-members, whilst 76% of consumers saw themselves as lifetime customers after three visits.

Moreover, consumers have reported referring others to medical spas an average of three times over the past year.
The report also stated that medical spas have become a preferred venue for those seeking injectables, which requires specialised skills to administer such treatment.
This highlights a focus for targeted training and development programs to fulfil the sector’s specific needs effectively.
