Medical aesthetics market to advance amidst rising consumer interest

The market is projected to reach $24b in 2027.

The global medical aesthetics market is expected to reach $24b at a 9% growth by 2027 as consumer demand rises and stigma associated with such treatments decreases.

The report by L.E.K revealed how consumers who are a part of the ageing population turned towards treatments to combat cosmetic concerns associated with ageing, whilst the younger market was driven by a heightened self-awareness stemming from social media exposure.

In addition, the market’s growing popularity among men has led organisations to target them more directly.

Although the penetration of the aesthetics treatment market is low, about 18% of current non-users of injectables consider buying treatments in the future, suggesting an addressable population of six to seven times the current market size, or $70b to $80b.

Meanwhile, the market could experience significant growth through an approach that blends health benefits with cosmetic enhancement, appealing to consumers interested in comprehensive wellness and beauty regimens.
