MakatiMed adopts new system for enhanced surgical procedures

The new technology allows for fewer incisions resulting in faster recovery.

The Makati Medical Centre (MakatiMed) has adopted the da Vinci Xi Surgical System to offer patients minimally invasive surgical procedures under robotic-assisted surgery.

The new system will be applied to MakatiMed’s surgical procedures including prostatectomy, adnexal surgery, hysterectomy, and myomectomy amongst others to improve the accuracy and precision of each process.

The hospital mentioned that the system allows for fewer incisions, resulting in shorter recovery time and minimal scarring.
