Lead design team appointed for Australia’s Blue Mountains Hospital
The team will work with the NBMLHD to identify future health service requirements.
The Australian government in New South Wales has announced the appointment of a lead design team to begin planning for future investment in Blue Mountains Hospital.
Led by Health Infrastructure, the team will work with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) to identify future health service requirements.
The planning builds on the district’s draft ‘Clinical Services Plan’ for the region, which involved extensive consultation with health professionals and the local community. The early planning phase will determine the scope and budget for the future hospital.
Meanwhile, Health Infrastructure and NBMLHD are prioritising immediate upgrades to the existing hospital, including ongoing work on the facility’s roof and Central Sterilising Services Department, with additional maintenance projects to follow.
