JD Health rolls out telemedicine service for skin concerns
It will use advanced technology such as AI to obtain a patient’s skin report.
JD Health launched an online skin hospital for various skin issues which will feature online clinics led by 30 field experts, with a team of full-time dermatologists providing support for user inquiries.
In a statement, JD Health said the online skin hospital has seven specialised clinics focused on paediatrics, geriatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, acne, allergies, hair loss, and challenging miscellaneous disease.

The telemedicine service will use JD Health’s advanced digital knowledge system in the diagnostic and treatment processes such as the artificial intelligence-powered skin testing and acne management tools that will obtain skin reports within five seconds from the uploading of a photo.
JD Health said the use of such tools will enable a more accurate symptom description during online consultations and will allow doctors to understand the patient’s conditions better.
The platform said the high demand for treatment of common conditions such as eczema, acne and hair loss drove it to turn its dermatology centre into an online skin hospital.
