Hormone replacement therapy market to hit $38.8b by 2034

Rising awareness of ageing-related health is driving market growth.

The global hormone replacement therapy (HRT) market will reach $38.8b by 2034, growing at a compound annual rate (CAGR) of 5.7%.

Transparency Market Research attributed the market's forecasted growth to rising awareness of ageing-related health conditions such as menopause, andropause, and other hormonal imbalances.

“As the global population ages, the demand for HRT is surging, particularly among women seeking relief from menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings,” the report said.

In line with this, a growing emphasis on men’s health is driving demand for testosterone replacement therapies as more consumers turn to HRT for relief and improved vitality over andropause symptoms such as fatigue, depression, and reduced libido.

Technological advancements are another major factor driving market expansion, with modern HRT formulations like bioidentical hormones gaining importance due to their perceived lower risk of side effects versus traditional synthetic hormones.

Moreover, the report observed that personalised regimens tailored to individual hormonal profiles are gaining momentum.
