Healthcare cloud computing faces talent shortages amidst market growth

Recruitment and retention pose a major concern for organisations.

The healthcare cloud computing market is projected to rise by $98.6b through 2028 at a compound annual growth rate of 31.52%. However, talent shortages pose a challenge to its expansion, said Technavio.

The report revealed that in recent surveys, about 45.6% identified this issue as a barrier to faster cloud implementation in the sector.

“This scarcity keeps cloud computing professionals in high demand, making recruitment and retention a major concern for organisations,” it said.

Meanwhile, the sector’s expansion is attributed to integrated healthcare service offerings and a shift towards edge computing.
