Eastern General Hospital Campus begins main construction in Bedok North

The nine-storey development will span about 250,000 square metres.

Main construction has begun for Singapore’s Eastern General Hospital (EGH) Campus in Bedok North, following the completion of piling works.

The EGH campus will comprise the Eastern General Hospital and Eastern Community Hospital.

The nine-storey development will span approximately 250,000 square metres and house about 1,000 acute care beds and 400 community care beds.

The project, led by the Obayashi-Santarli Joint Venture, is expected to open progressively from 2029.
