Digital Brain Function Scan launched for early detection of brain problems
Early recognition can prevent Parkinson’s disease and dementia, amongst others.
Healthcare provider, Parkway Shenton Medical Group, and healthtech firm, Neurowyzr, in Singapore launched digital brain solutions that will help in the early detection of brain health problems.
In a joint statement, Parkway Shenton said Neurowyzr will use its Digital Brain Function Scan that can early detect brain health problems, which affect millions of patients in Asia and the Pacific.
“Early recognition can prevent and reduce the disability of brain health problems that are associated with cognitive decline, stroke, Long COVID brain damage, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia,” read the statement.
With this partnership, Singaporeans and residents have access to a digital neuroscience tool through a primary care provider, which enables early detection of cognitive decline.
Through an online portal after being prescribed by a physician, patients do not need to shell out cash and spend several visiting days in a specialist clinic to check on their brain’s health.
The Digital Brain Function Scan is also registered with Singapore Health Services Authority, which allows patients to use any connected device and browser to complete an assessment within minutes.
