Bangkok Chain Hospital to see mild earnings growth in Q1: report
The growth is driven by an influenza outbreak in Thailand.
Bangkok Chain Hospital (BCH) is expected to witness mild earnings growth in the first quarter of the year (Q1), a UOB Kay Hian report revealed.
The forecast is driven by the impact of an influenza outbreak, which is expected to offset the absence of Kuwaiti patients.
As of 22 February, Thailand's Department of Disease Control recorded 141,456 influenza cases, a 104.7% increase year-on-year.
“BCH’s management believes that the positive impact of influenza on Q1 earnings will not be able to match Q3, the traditional high season,” the report said.
