Australian gov’t allocates $271.2k to Tamworth Hospital upgrades

This is part of a $7.8m (A$12m) investment under the Regional Health Minor Works Programme.

The Australian government in News South Wales has announced a $271.2k (A$415k) investment to support two key upgrades at the Tamworth Hospital campus.

Approximately $163.3k (A$250k) has been allocated to improve facilities for cardiac patients and those undergoing exercise-based rehabilitation, including new flooring, acoustic improvements, and reverse-cycle air conditioning.

Meanwhile, $107.8k (A$165k) will be used to construct an accessible bathroom at Johnston House for patients, families, and carers attending community health appointments.

The funding is part of the government’s $7.8m (A$12m) investment in 61 projects under the Regional Health Minor Works Programme.
