Australia to deliver new health centre in North Gungahlin
The upcoming facility is part of the 2024-25 ACT Budget.
Australia is set to establish a new centre for preventive health services and chronic disease treatment in North Gungahlin.
According to the government, the centre’s design and construction will be funded by the 2024-25 ACT Budget.
The upcoming facility is set to be built on Kingsland Parade, Casey and will be staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals, including nurses and allied health workers.
“Investing more in preventative health care and support for chronic conditions will keep Canberrans healthier in the community, taking the pressure off our acute hospitals,” Health Minister, Rachel Stephen-Smith, said.
“The new health centres will complement our existing network of nurse-led walk-in centres, community health centres and the Territory’s hospital system,” Stephen-Smith added.
