Australia begins $49.2m expansion project for Noarlunga Hospital

It is expected to be completed by 2025.

Australia has turned the sod for the $49.2m (A$74m) expansion project for Noarlunga Hospital to increase bed capacity.

Part of the project includes the establishment of a 24-bed medical inpatient unit worth around $25.3m (A$38m).

According to the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN), Most units will be single rooms with private ensuites alongside therapy and outdoor spaces.

Moreover, the project is set to deliver a 24-bed mental health rehabilitation unit, additional car parking, and expansion to the hospital’s current pharmacy and kitchen service.

The expansion is expected to be completed by the second half of 2025.
