Aster DM Healthcare, Quality Care to create Indian hospital chain

The new entity will have a network of 38 hospitals and over 10,150 beds in India.

Aster DM Healthcare Limited and Blackstone-backed Quality Care have signed agreements to merge, creating a new listed entity, Aster DM Quality Care Limited.

The combined entity will operate under four brands, namely Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, KIMSHEALTH, and Evercare. It will have a network of 38 hospitals and over 10,150 beds across 27 cities in India.

The merger has been approved by the Board of Directors of both companies, pending regulatory, corporate, and shareholder approvals.
