Apollo Hospitals, Monash University to advance digital health research

The partnership includes local testing of clinical AI projects developed by Apollo.

Apollo Hospitals and Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance digital health research and solutions in India and Australia.

Through the MoU, Monash FIT will provide educational sessions for Apollo's healthcare professionals, and FIT students will have opportunities to apply their skills in real-life projects within Apollo Hospitals.

The partnership will also include local testing and cross-validation of clinical AI projects developed by Apollo.

The data sharing will give Monash researchers access to insights from over 200 million de-identified patient records from Apollo, aiding the development of AI algorithms to diagnose major diseases like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
