Aster MIMS, Calicut wins Vaccination Delivery of the Year – India award at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2022
It has successfully administered over 130,000 COVID vaccine doses in the initial phase of COVID 19 pandemic.
Aster MIMS, Calicut has been awarded the Vaccination Delivery of the Year - India award at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2022 for its remarkable performance- having administered over 130,000 COVID vaccine doses during the initial phase.
Aster MIMS, Calicut was one of the major hospitals in India selected for the initial trials of these vaccines, which was soon followed by the initial vaccination drive. The Covid Task force along with hospital management and employees of ASTER MIMS, worked hard to achieve the full vaccination coverage for it’s medical professionals and also heath workers in the primary district and nearby districts. The institute also did multiple vaccination camps outside the hospital and arranged vaccination for patient bystanders to ensure maximum coverage of the vaccination drive.
Simultaneously, the institute used social media platforms to encourage vaccination among the lay public. District and state authorities appreciated its contribution in achieving an excellent vaccination coverage in the district even at initial phase.
“The successful vaccination campaign was made possible only and only because of the dedicated teamwork of Aster MIMS, Calicut and the completion of 13,4052 vaccination is a remarkable contribution to our society” as cited by the Government authorities of Calicut corporation.
Around 90 corporates were associated with Aster MIMS Calicut for the Vaccination Drive which included many major banks.
The success of the vaccination drive, and the utilization of social media technology in bringing awareness regarding the necessity for COVID vaccination to prevent and stop the pandemic , has proved Aster MIMS , Calicut worthy of recognition.
