SGX-listed Econ Healthcare unveils first nursing home in China
The nursing home in Chongqing has a 44-bed capacity.
Singapore-listed Econ Healthcare Group has begun its maiden operations at the company’s first nursing home in China, located in the prime Jiefangbei area in Chongqing, the company announced in a press release.
Called Econ Medicare Centre and Nursing Home – Chongqing, the nursing home carries a 44-bed capacity, and is housed within a 4-storey development on a land area that spans more than 3000sqm.
It is Singapore’s first elder care service provider to sign with Chongqing Civil Affairs Bureau under the Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI),
The nursing home is also the group’s first project operating under a joint venture with Chongqing Guangda Bailingbang Eldercare Industry. Econ holds a 60% stake in the joint venture.
The second project is set to be located at Changshou, another district of Chongqing, and is expected to have a 280 bed capacity. The Group aims to kickstart its operations by 2022.
