Abu Dhabi AI targets cancer with Fred Hutch data layer
The country will pair its governed data with Fred Hutch's research engine.
Abu Dhabi has executed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States’ Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre (Fred Hutch), to collaborate on cancer research and personalised prevention.
The country will pair its unified clinical and genomic data infrastructure, artificial intelligence capabilities, and governed data environments with Fred Hutch's research engine.
Additionally, the two will consider leveraging Abu Dhabi's intelligent health system and layering Fred Hutch's science onto the real-world data foundation Abu Dhabi has built.
It includes the emirate's pioneering liquid biopsy programme launched last year, one of the first national-scale efforts of its kind.
