Hong Kong hosts healthcare week to capture global investment

More than 300 exhibitors and 170 startups will showcase solutions across medical fields.

International Healthcare Week will be held in Hong Kong from 11 to 31 May 2026, bringing together investors, healthcare providers and technology firms to explore developments in the sector and potential investment opportunities. 

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the event will centre on two main programmes: the Asia Summit on Global Health, scheduled for 11 to 12 May, and the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair, which will run from 11 to 13 May. 

Both events aim to connect different parts of the healthcare industry, from research and development to manufacturing and services. 

The Asia Summit on Global Health will focus on healthcare investment and innovation. The 2026 edition, themed “Fuelling Healthcare Breakthroughs”, will gather government officials, investors, business leaders and researchers to discuss areas such as medical artificial intelligence, robotics, gene and cell therapies, ageing-related healthcare and developments in China’s healthcare sector. 

More than 170 exhibitors and start-ups are expected to present technologies and solutions, with dedicated platforms for business matching and investment discussions. 

The Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair will feature around 300 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions. 

The exhibition will cover areas including digital health, laboratory technologies, medical supplies, elderly care and wellness products. 

The 2026 fair will focus on MedTech, GeronTech and preventive healthcare, alongside more than 50 seminars and forums aimed at sharing industry developments and market trends. 

In 2025, the fair attracted over 14,000 buyers from 57 countries and regions and facilitated more than 660 business matching meetings, indicating continued demand for cross-border partnerships in the healthcare sector.
